Oleksandr Zinchenko leaves City for Arsenal
Oleksandr Zinchenko reportedly leaves Manchester city before the preseason friendly vs. Club America. He is heading to Arsenal along with former City striker Gabriel Jesus. Zinchenko admits he was holding back tears at his farewell speech to his teammates. Zinchenko has been at the club for 6 years, a very good few years at the club, with 128 appearances for the club. Winning the 4 premier league titles, 1 community shield, 1 FA cup, and 4 carabao cups, not bad. Zinchenko played a very important role for this city side as a versatile left full-back. His contract will expire with the gunners in the summer of 2026. He is very eager to be playing under Mikel Arteta, former Manchester city assistant coach. Arsenal has big plans for Oleks, in the upcoming years in hopes to win titles and play at Europe's highest levels. Zinchenko was sold for around 36 million euros. He will be missed by all his club teammates.
